VAMA Code of Ethics


  • As a member of the Virginia Automatic Merchandising Association Inc., I realize my professional responsibility to the public which has placed its trust and confidence in the vending and food services I provide; and I will endeavor to do nothing to abuse this obligation.
  • With integrity as my ultimate goal, I will adhere to the highest standards of professional vending and food service, and will avoid any compromise of those standards.
  • In respect for fair and open competition, I will engage in no association, activity or understanding that may restrict the commercial freedom of competitive opportunities of suppliers, customers or competitors.
  • My actions will be determined not by mere compliance with state or federal law or public attitudes, but with a commitment to what is right, fair and beneficial to all. This commitment will apply equally to employment practices, products and services offered to customers and to industry relationships.
  • Realizing that no Code of Ethics can prejudge every situation, I pledge to exercise common sense and good judgment in the application of these principals to the realities of everyday activity in the vending and food service industry, and to be answerable to my industry peers in the area of professional responsibility.
